  1. STU:
Are the text on the Graphics translatable to german (or customizable?)

If not with your editor, can we have the photoshop files to adjust them to our language?

Is this kind of double optin or not?
If not than the people can enter fantasy-mailadresses and we won’t build a list …

    Thank You Veena for responding
    To Your Success

  2. I like the idea…

What if somebody is already a member of my DAP site, how would they see the content?

I still like using aweber for my newsletter and when somebody signs up for DAP membership they are automatically added to my aweber newsletter list… if I use this plug in for them to sign up, will they still go on the aweber list?

I’m making the assumption, I can configure this so they are signing up for the “free” level of my DAP membership.

I’m also beta testing the social plug in and some of things I planned on “locking” were some free downloads with the article/video if they “like” it… can I use these two things together on the same post… like lock the video/article until they sign up and after they unlock the content and at the end give them the option to receive the a freebie if they like it too? (Hope that makes sense)

    Thanks
    Ann

  3. What happens if a person is already signed up for the content that STU covers?
What does the box look like on a mobile device?
Can I see it on a live site?
Why isn’t there a developer’s license or at least not so much about what I can’t use it for? Means I have to SELL this extra to each one of my appropriate clients.

  4. So, can the googlebot ‘see’ what’s underneath the lock or not? (you mentioned it in the sales page as a negative to ordinary lead pages but didn’t then say whether this was any different).

  5. (1) If a current paid user is signed in, will STU disappear?

    (2) If a person signs up via STU, can they be added to a specific product, i.e., ‘interested, but not yet paid?’

    (3) Can STU be set so that SOME content is unlocked, but not others… i.e., premium content can only be unlocked with a paid membership.

In other words — does STU interact with other DAP controls, or is it better on a site that does not have drip content for paid members?

THANKS — you guys are awesome — AGAIN!!

  6. Hello

    Re STU

When someone has unlocked the content by giving their email address, will the content always remain unlocked for them whenever they return to the website?

Also if several posts have STU enabled, does a visitor have to unlock content on every post? Or do the other posts unlock for that visitor automatically without re-entering their email address each time, once they have unlocked content on on post?

    Thank you

  7. Hi Ivan,

Yes, you can customize the templates. Create a custom version of the templates by pre-pending the word custom in front of the template html (under plugins/includes/templates/) and the customized template will be used.

    >> Is this kind of double optin or not? << You can make the dap product that is connected to the STU form single-optin or double-optin. If it's double-optin, then the premium content will remain locked UNTIL the users complete activation. Hope this helps. Thanks, Veena

  8. Hi Ann,

    >>What if somebody is already a member of my DAP site, how would they see the content? << Great question! The STU form will always show on a page until the user signs up to the product to which the STU form is attached. If they are a member of 1 dap product, it does not automatically give them access to the dap product that STU form is attached to until they sign up via STU to that product. Makes sense? >> I still like using aweber for my newsletter and when somebody signs up for DAP membership they are automatically added to my aweber newsletter list… if I use this plug in for them to sign up, will they still go on the aweber list? << Yes, every STU form is connected to a specific dap product. You can select the product that the STU form is connected with in the STU editor settings. When a user signs up via STU, they get access to that DAP product. You can use all of the DAP product features with the product that the STU form is connected to. You can connect the DAP product to aweber, mailchimp, getresponse etc. >> I’m making the assumption, I can configure this so they are signing up for the “free” level of my DAP membership. << Correct. (Hope that makes sense) << Yes, the STU form also supports 'credits'. You can set 'credits' for the DAP free product so when the users signup via the STU form, they get access to the dap product PLUS they can earn free credits. Hope this helps! Thanks, Veena

  9. Hi Richard,

    >> When someone has unlocked the content by giving their email address, will the content always remain unlocked for them whenever they return to the website? << Yes, if they signup once, cookie is set. The cookie will expire based on your cookie expiration settings in STU. If it is set to say 9999 days, then their content will remain unlocked for 9999 days. >> Also if several posts have STU enabled, does a visitor have to unlock content on every post? << No, they don't have to unlock on every post. If you are planning on having the STU signup form for the same DAP product on multiple posts, then when the users signs up once, they will automatically have access to hidden content on other posts as well. Hope this helps! Thanks, Veena

  10. Hi Veena and Ravi,

I was recently thinking about how to implement this exact feature using DAP. Thanks for providing the solution.

I also have two follow-up questions:

    1) I currently have DAP set-up to redirect users to my member home page after login. I would imagine it would be annoying for an existing subscriber to be reading a post and then be redirected to the members homepage after the login. Is there any way an existing user can login directly on the same page that STU is protecting and not be redirected?

    2) I’m currently using an aweber hosted free signup sheet. Thus, the user flow is aweber to DAP. Is it possible to use an aweber hosted signup sheet with STU?

  11. Hi Greg,

    >> What about the backend with STU? Does it integrate with iContact? << STU can integrate with any autoresponders that DAP integrates with because STU is connected to a DAP FREE product. So all the DAP product features will be supported by STU. DAP integrates with Aweber, getresponse, mailchimp etc but DAP does not integrate with iContact. So STU does not integrate with iContact currently. Thanks, Veena

  12. Hi Bonnie,

    Great questions!

    >> (1) If a current paid user is signed in, will STU disappear? << The STU form is tied to a DAP product. So the users must signup to the product to see the content behind STU. IF they have access to product A but STU is connected to product B, then they will only see the content hidden behind STU when they signup to product B via STU. >> (2) If a person signs up via STU, can they be added to a specific product, i.e., ‘interested, but not yet paid?’ << Yes, that's exactly how it works. STU needs to be connected to a FREE DAP product. When the users signup, they will automatically have a membership account and access to the free product. >> (3) Can STU be set so that SOME content is unlocked, but not others… i.e., premium content can only be unlocked with a paid membership. << Yes, you can do that. You can do a mix of DAP shortcode and STU shortcode on the SAME WP Page. Use DAP shortcode to hide paid content (paid membership) and use STU shortcode to hide free but premium content. Thanks, Veena

  13. Hi Chris,

    >>So, can the googlebot ‘see’ what’s underneath the lock or not? (you mentioned it in the sales page as a negative to ordinary lead pages but didn’t then say whether this was any different). << The googlebot cannot see what's underneath the lock. STU protection is not a simple "javascript" or "div" layer protection. The protection via STU is far more secure. Thanks, Veena

  14. Hi Ankur,

<< That's exactly what STU does. You will have the option to setup STU to redirect away from the site OR make the users stay on the current page and see the hidden content upon signup on the same page. >> 2) I’m currently using an aweber hosted free signup sheet. Thus, the user flow is aweber to DAP. Is it possible to use an aweber hosted signup sheet with STU? << No, you can't use Aweber hosted signup form. You will have to use the STU signup form but you can connect STU form to a DAP product and connect the DAP product to Aweber or other 3rd party autoresponders. So it will be STU -> DAP -> Aweber.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Veena

  15. I bought dap for 1 web site now with stu I want to add another site can i pay the difference from my original dap to the unlimited price or do I just have to purchase a whole new dap license?

  16. Hey all, was wondering if STU works with OptimizePress and arpREACH auto responder?

And can I purchase STU before I plan on buying DAP for my new site?

  17. Hi John,

    >> Hey all, was wondering if STU works with OptimizePress and arpREACH auto responder? << Yes, STU goes directly on a WP page / post. It will work with all themes (not theme dependent). DAP does not currently integrate with arpReach but you can use the dap 3rd party framework to integrate dap with arpReach or any other 3rd party autoresponders. DAP integrates with aweber, getresponse, mailchimp, oap etc. >>And can I purchase STU before I plan on buying DAP for my new site? << Sure. If you buy STU now, you can use the $10 discount coupon that comes with your STU purchase towards DAP purchase in future. Thanks, Veena

  18. Hey again…
No one has ever mentioned WHAT happens after they give their email. Does the page RE-LOAD, with the page fully populated, or does the content just SHOW UP beneath the sign-up box after they give their info?

  19. Hi Gregg,

    >>I bought dap for 1 web site now with stu I want to add another site can i pay the difference from my original dap to the unlimited price or do I just have to purchase a whole new dap license? << No, you do not have to buy a whole new dap license. Please open a support ticket with us and we will let you know how to upgrade to multi-site dap license from your 1-site license. Thanks, Veena

  20. Hi John,

    >>No one has ever mentioned WHAT happens after they give their email. Does the page RE-LOAD, with the page fully populated, or does the content just SHOW UP beneath the sign-up box after they give their info? << The page will reload with the page fully populated upon successful signup. You will find how this works detailed in our documentation videos here : http://wickedcoolplugins.com/doc/signup-to-unlock-stu/

    Thanks,
    Veena

  21. Hello Veena,
1). Does STU integrate with Infusion Soft?
2). How often will you be running the training calls as I am still setting up my site
    Thanks
    Michael

  22. Hi Michael,

STU does not integrate with Infusion Soft because Infusionsoft communication with dap is one-way. It’s from Infusionsoft to dap. It’s not from dap->Infusionsoft.

So when users sign up via STU form, they will be in dap but because dap does not have an action trigger back to infusion currently, the users will not make it to Infusionsoft.

We are thinking of doing the training call on July 8th or 9th. We will record it. If you purchased the $67 package that comes with access to training, we will give you access to the recording.

    Thanks,
    Veena

  23. Hi all,

what’s about DoubleOptin -Process? I have no benefit if the user leaves his Emailadress to see the content without proceeding the doubleoptin.

My list then contains a lot of unusable Contacts.

    regards,
    Michael
